MESSAGE FROM THE PLANNER:

Welcome to Dufftown.  I have planned 3 courses for today’s event. The Yellow course is mostly off road and is in a safe environment. Short and Long runners will be in a mixture of urban roads and paths and some very open forest running. Some earth / grass paths can be slippy (you have been warned). The two main roads that go through Dufftown can be quite busy with fast through traffic, and there will be lots of parked cars - TAKE CARE CROSSING ROADS.

All competitors under the age of 16 must enter the Yellow course, which will be almost entirely within the woods.

All courses have at least one compulsory crossing point - if you are using the compulsory crossing point, only cross when the marshal gives the OK. For Short and Long you may or may not use the same crossing point a second time, depending on your route choice. If you do use the crossing point a second time, please set a good example to the Yellow runners by following the marshal’s instructions.

Please respect other users of the pavements and woods, there will no doubt be a few dog walkers in the woods.

Map is at 1:5,000, Contour Interval 2.5m, last updated 2019 by myself. Please adhere to the few Out of Bounds areas on the map to keep everyone happy.
