Event Summary

Welcome to the Club Champs and AGM event.  The Club Champion will be awarded to the first Club member of our Open handicapped score event across the Findhorn Dunes.  Score events are a type of event in which you have to find as many controls as possible in a fixed time.  As well as the trophy for the first Club member of the Open event, we will have vouchers to Skeddaddle Running Shop in Fochabers for the top three Moravian members.  There will also be a junior score event on offer, with prizes and certificates for the top three Moravian members.

The score events will allow everyone to finish at approximately the same time, so we can proceed quickly to the AGM.  Please bring a picnic with you and stay.  We plan to hold the AGM outdoors.

Club Champs

Everyone is welcome to join us for the score event, but only Club members will qualify for the Club Champs.

There will be two courses - an Open and Junior Course.  The Junior course will be a 30-minute score for W/M14 and under age classes.  For all older age classes, the Open course will be a 45-minute score.

Please be ready to leave assembly at 1100 hours to walk to the start where there will be a race brief on the rules of the event ahead of the start at 1115 hours (approximately).  Open course competitors will be given a map at the start.  Juniors competitors should collect their maps at registration before walking to the start.  All competitors must punch the start before there run and punch the finish at the end.

Each competitor will be allocated a handicap according to age class and gender.  Rob Parkinson has kindly offered to set the handicaps for those entered.  Please note that entries AFTER the online closing date (2359 hrs on Wednesday 20 August) will NOT receive a handicap.

AGM

The AGM will be held directly after completion of the Club Champs.  We would encourage everyone to stay and bring a picnic to consume while we hold the AGM.  For the hardy, there is always the possibility of a swim after.  Timings have yet to be confirmed, but the AGM is likely to kick off around 12:30 pm.

Beach Road car park

Note this car park has a 2m height restriction, there is limited parking for camper vans etc before the restriction.
